- Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment which lays its main emphasis on the structural and mechanical problems of the body.
- Osteopaths are concerned with the biomechanics of the body and the restoration and maintenance of proper mechanical function.
- Osteopathic treatment involves predominantly gentle manual methods of treatment and utilises diagnostic procedures similar to a conventional medical examination but with particular attention to a detailed assessment of the patients musculoskeletal system.
